Second Grade A

Welcome to Class 2A, I look forward to having a WONDERFUL year with you and your children!  This year, we will focus on enhancing students' reading, writing, and math skills.  Second Grade is a special year as we prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  

*RAZZ kid log-ins are taped in the children's planners.  Please encourage them to log in and read and answer comprehension questions.   It can be part of their daily reading!

Reading Skill of the Week:  Verbs & Cause and Effect

Throughout the year, students will have reading skill assessments that can not be studied for and may not be announced.  These assessments check the student’s understanding of the reading skill we have been working on in class.  The assessment requires students to apply their knowledge of the skill.  You may review the skill of the week at home if you choose.  

Students will have unannounced addition & subtraction quizzes

Class Trip 5/14  -students must wear their gym uniform & bring their lunch in a disposable bag.

Please send $12 for the Communion breakfast ASAP in an envelope labeled with your child's name.  Thank you.  

Class 2A is low on tissues.  Donations would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you to families who already have!
