SFDS Update #23 2024 (Week of February 25th 2024)

Dear Academy Community,

Each year, the Church gives us the season of Lent to prepare ourselves for the joyful celebration of Easter.  Over the centuries, the themes of these forty days have remained amazingly consistent: renewal, change, turning to Christ, and starting over.  The very term, Lent comes from an Old English word meaning spring, which gives a clear indication of the newness to which we are called during this annual observance.  The season of Lent gives us as Catholics the time to reflect on the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and how His resurrection gives us the belief of eternal life.   Let our next few weeks be a time of renewal and growing closer to Jesus Christ and his cross.

We had a great Catholic Schools Week these past few days and now we all have a chance to recharge our batteries for the coming weeks of February and March. Please take a look at some upcoming information for the days and weeks ahead

If you have your account set to automatic withdrawal the fees will come out of your account 2-3 business days before.

Class of 2025 Ring Order Form: In the next few months, we will be celebrating the graduation of the Class of 2024. As we celebrate that occasion, we also would like to kick off the Class of 2025 with a tradition that we have here at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy, a Class Ring/Pin ceremony. The class ring is a symbol of school-wide pride and a reminder of their academic achievement.

All students in the 7th grade will receive a class pin and have the option of purchasing a class ring made out of Sterling Silver for $80.00-$90.00. The price explanation is below.   Ring orders must be placed by Monday, March 4, 2024. A bill (charge) will be added to your FACTS account soon after.

A special Class Ring/Pin ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 in Saint Francis Church. Details of this very special event will go out in a separate correspondence.

Please complete the form below and return it by Monday, March 4th. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
