What a wonderful Respect Week we’ve had over the last five days. First, our students in grades K through 8 signed a pledge to not bully or stand by when someone else is being bullied after our Power of One assembly. We also received many awesome entries for the Poster/Essay contest. Congratulations to our essay winners and our poster winners. Finally, Mrs. Fountaine directed a fantastic version of a “ Speak Life” video, which was presented to the school today during our Respect Week Prayer Service. We are so blessed to have this wonderful community of students, teachers, and staff to show what respecting oneselves and each other truly looks and feels like.
Now onto the week of March 13th
St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy has launched a Facebook page! To keep up with all of the events in and around SFDS, like and/or follow our page. You can see what happened this week by clicking here.
First Penance: Good luck to our second grade students from Blessed Trinity Parish who will be receiving first Penance tomorrow. A special word of Thanks to both Mrs. Watters and Ms. Finlayson for preparing our second graders for this important sacrament. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as you continue on your spiritual journey and prepare for receiving the Eucharist for the first time.
Card Party: We are now less than 3 weeks away from our annual Card Party.
You may know that St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy’s Card Party is considered a premier Card Party in the area, and helps raise thousands of dollars for the school each year. Over the past 2 weeks Class Captains have been reaching out to parents to help create grade baskets to be raffled off at the Card Party. Starting on Monday March 20th, Card Party tickets will be on sale. Look in next week’s email blast for more information.
One of biggest prizes of the annual Card Party is the Tuition Raffle for one student for the 2017-2018 school year. Please think about supporting this raffle and get a chance of winning a free tuition for one child. (Winner need not be present). Tickets can be bought in the main office or by handing in tickets found on the order from by clicking here.
Tuition Arrears: This week final tuition arrears reports will be going out for those families that are in arrears. Please be mindful of the fact to keep your account up to date for all tuition or any outstanding fees. Please remember that report cards are not distributed unless your account is up to date as of 2/15/17. Any issues please feel free to be in touch.
