Mission Statement: The mission of the Academy Family Association (AFA) is to support and enrich the academic, spiritual, and community programs of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy. Mirroring the traditions and teachings of the Catholic faith, parents work in partnership with the school to ensure students have the very best in education.
The goals of the AFA are to:
◦Support the spiritual events and create opportunities to develop a strong and meaningful Christian community for students, families, faculty, and administration
◦Provide a vehicle of communication between parents and the school
◦Plan and coordinate fund-raising activities that support school programs
◦Offer interesting and informative programs that are relevant to students and the school community

Good Afternoon SFDSCA Families –
Card Party – The AFA looks forward to welcoming our guests for the annual Card Party on Friday evening. An email with additional details will go out to those guests that purchased tickets later this week.
Just a reminder that tickets are still on sale for the Tuition Raffle and Class Prizes. Tickets went home with all families last month. If you would like more tickets sent home with your child, please reply to this email.
Tuition Raffle Ticket are $10 each or 3 for $20. The grand prize is one year of free tuition for the 2024-2025 school year. The amount to be awarded will be based on the 2024/2025 Catholic-affiliated tuition rate that will be charged for one child in nursery - Grade 8. Payment will be made directly to the Academy. (Estimated value is $5,800- No Cash Substitutions.)
Class Prize Tickets: Tickets are $5 each. Winners do not need to attend the card party to win! Prizes will be drawn in sequence from Nursery/PreK to 8th Grade. Your ticket enables you to be eligible to win one of the ten class prizes.

- Kindergarten - Yeti Wheeled Cooler
- First Grade - $300 Ticketmaster Gift Card
- Second Grade - Ooni Pizza Oven

- Fourth Grade - $250 Sephora Gift Card and a Light Up Mirror
- Fifth Grade - Solo Stove Outdoor Firepit
- Sixth Grade - $250 Nike Gift Card and Nike Bag
- Seventh Grade - $250 Lululemon Gift Card and an Everywhere Belt Bag
- Eighth Grade - Dyson Air Strait

We kindly ask that all completed tickets are sent in with payment prior to this Thursday, April 18th.
Sweetheart Dance: The AFA invites the girls of our school to have their Sweetheart (Dad, Uncle, Grandfather, etc) join them for a special night out next Friday April 26th from 6:30pm-8pm in the school. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at: https://ticketstripe.com/SFDSCA_Sweetheart_Disco
Franny Fun Run – Don’t forget, the rescheduled date for the Franny Fun Run is Saturday, May 18th. Registration will begin at 9:00AM and the races/walks will begin with our early childhood classes at 10:00AM. Stay tuned for further details.
Franny Friendship Committee Initiative – Beach Clean Up: will take place from 8:00 – 10:00AM on Saturday, May 25th. We will have teams in both Belle Harbor and Breezy Point. We hope all Academy Families will join us for this worthy initiative.
Golf and Tennis Outing: Our Annual Msgr. Martin T. Geraghty Golf and Tennis Outing honors the life and legacy of Msgr. Geraghty while raising funds for St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy that was so close to his heart. We honor the memory of him, whose dedication to serving others left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a golf enthusiast and golfer who loved the game. Please join in to make this day a great success for our Academy.
Our Golf and Tennis Outing will be held on Friday, May 31st 2024 will be held at the Marine Park Golf Course (Golf) and Belle Harbor Yacht Club (Tennis). To be a part of the day please click the link below.

Please jump in on a great day at the Marine Park Golf course or at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club for some Tennis where we enjoy fellow neighbors & friends for a full day of golf and tennis followed up by great eats and drinks at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club. Put your foursomes or doubles teams together as soon as possible to help secure a successful fundraiser on this truly special day.
Please also consider taking a sponsorship with your family name displayed or a special cause or business you may wish to advertise. A beautiful sign will be displayed on a given golf hole or two displaying your support for our great school. More details are in the form above. There are various levels to choose from. This is truly appreciated.
The success of this day, May 31st, requires all of us even if you do not golf. As we rely on fundraisers such as the Annual Golf/Tennis Classic to help support the education and growth of our students here at St. Francis de Sales. 2024 SFDSCA Summer Concert - The 2024 Summer concert will take place on Friday, June 28th, beginning at 6:30PM in the school yard. We are excited to have NYC’s biggest 80’s tribute band, the Ronald Reagans’ Big 80’s show lined up as our featured band this year. It is sure to be a fun night. Ticket details will be sent home later this spring.
